Investment Banks Belong in the Burbs
If the media keeps printing articles claiming that downtown Manhattan is the financial center of the world it may actually one day be true. Downtown Manhattan is not the financial center of the world. Wall Street is nothing more than a place for tourist to stare at an antiquated usless New York Stock Exchange. The real "Wall Street" exists in a network of computers that can be located anywhere in the world.
The racial makeup of New York City is the direct opposite of the racial makeup up of investment banks. On the other hand the racial makeup of investment banks probably are 100% reflective of the racial makeup of the burbs of NYC (in NY, NJ and CT). And lets be honest here, investment banks and all the bullshit and tude that goes along with them, BELONG in the fucking burbs.
Once the fucking IBanks leave the city, then it should be rather easy to get all of that idiot fucking theater and acting shit out of NYC as well, since these fuckers aren't making any money.
I predict that the majority of the IBanks will only have satellite offices in NYC to do the presentation, marketing, entertaining and particularly the legal related functions that IBanks must do to get and keep clients.
