I did some kick-ass work for Chemcial Bank, engineering work at temp wp rates, all because I thought temping there could lead to more (I have to admit that temping at Chemcial DID lead to more in that I was there about five or six years and had a stable enough source of income to tell many other people I temped for to go fuck themselves).

But, at the end, I ran up against a couple of Managers who simply did not want me at Chemical as an employee. When these two managers hired a temp and assumed that I would teach that temp how to do what I was doing, I simply did not show up one day, no notice, not long goodbyes, just no me.

Of course I went on to other temp assignments that paid more money and I just assumed that the two managers mentioned would be at Chemical until they died or someone killed them.

But I later learned that both managers were laid-off when Chemical merged with yet another Bank. And both of these manager fuckers were old too, with no fucking skills that I was ever aware of.
