While getting a lot of OT a temp job means more money, it also means greater dependence on one temp assignment. I have to turn down other work to do OT on one temp assignment.
The longer I stay on one long term job the more likely other agencies will take me off of their hot list and the harder it will be to get a new assignment once this assigment ends.
Do I go for the short term of more money NOW or do I go for the long range by making sure I'm not totally dependent on one idiot temp assignment? Okay, Now My Brain Hurts
When you have multiple employers, you are protected should you ever have to file for unemloyment.
Asshole Fucker Employers as a rule get off on telling unemployment that you were fired for misconduct or something else in an attempt to prevent you from collecting unemployment (mostly because these idiot fuckers don't have shit else to do).
When you work for several employers concurrently, you can still qualify for unemployment if one employer's wages is removed from your earnings record. Also, when you work for multiple employers, you have the option of NOT filing for unemployment if you know that some idiot fucker employer is going to cause problems.
